Candid (adj.):
In the realm of photography, "candid" captures unposed, natural moments, revealing genuine emotions and expressions without the subjects being aware of the camera.
Hues (noun):
The term "hues" refers to the different shades or colors that make up the visible spectrum. It encompasses the variety of tones and pigments within a specific color range. Hues are integral to the visual perception of color, playing a crucial role in art, design, and everyday experiences where color is a defining characteristic.
When it comes to working with clients, my main goal is to ensure you walk away feeling like the absolute best version of yourselves. Sure, I want you excited about the photos, but I also want you leaving with a little extra pep in your step. Making people feel at ease, confident, and secure is my top priority in every shoot. While I capture a mix of candid and posed photos, I want you to be candidly yourself - and capture the honest hues of what makes your love shine.
Simply put—I want to capture the real you, not the overly filtered version you see on social media. I'm all about genuine and honest shots. Your wedding day is a significant milestone because it's about you tying the knot, not conforming to societal expectations. The big laughs, those quiet moments, and yes, even the tears—that's the good stuff, and that's what I aim to capture. No doubt, I appreciate a good mirror shot. That last snap before you step out into the world on your wedding day? Epic. But honestly, you both look amazing without even glancing in a mirror. You invested time and resources to be here today—on your attire, makeup, the venue, the catering, and, of course, a photographer. It shows, and I'm here to capture how incredible you look together and how that happiness between you two radiates throughout your entire wedding day. That's what it's all about, right? Rest assured, you're the stars today, and I'm here to capture it all—spontaneously, promptly, and with precision.
I couldn’t even begin to tell you how many times I’ve heard “we’re awkward in photos”—don’t worry about that. I’m not here to put pressure on you; I'm just here to hang out and take some photos. Also, I love ‘awkward’ couples—you have inside jokes, giggles, and a language with each other that you don’t have with everyone; that’s amazing. After working over 200 weddings, I live in the chaos of new things and awkwardness, and I’ll be with you to help navigate every step of the way. My biggest strength is being able to allow you to be yourselves while still directing you through the portraits. You are already seasoned pros being with one another; you just happen to be on camera this time! If you feel natural, the photos feel natural. I’ll facilitate that in any possible way I can.
